Leadership Development

Janet has facilitated a wide variety of leadership development programmes both on behalf of organisations such as the National College for School Leadership - NCSL - and programmes devised by Janet for individual organisations.

For NCSL:

  • Leading from the Middle - a development programme for middle leaders in schools.
  • National Professional Qualification for Headship - the qualification Heads must have to take up this crucial post.
  • Consultant Leader Development Programme - a programme for experienced headteachers who wish to become consultants to their colleagues in other schools.

For other clients:

  • Middle leader development programme for International schools in Hong Kong & Beijing
  • Aspiring to Senior Leadership - a year long programme for people who wish to become senior leaders, for the London Borough of Enfield, now in its 4th year.
  • Post Graduate Certificate in Leadership Development and Consultancy for the London Centre for Leadership in Learning at the Institute of Education in London. Janet developed this into modules for an MA in Educational Leadership. The programme helps individuals define their consultancy role and work to develop leadership. Participants are school leaders and consultants working for independently or for local authorities.
  • Succession Planning - Janet has devised programmes to help individuals plan their careers and progress into senior leadership posts.

Programmes can be devised to suit clients needs; day events or a series of sessions over time. All will be founded in current leadership theory and be active learning for participants.
